Fall Return FAQs

When/How do I book my Fall HardTop return?

You will hear from us during the first week of August. We will be sending an online booking link, where you will select the following:

  1. Preferred Return Week
    1. First available week is 8/30
  2. Preferred Return Time
    1. Morning or Afternoon
  3. SoftTop Storage
  4. Important notes for our team
    1. Did you move? Do Mondays not work? Etc.
What's the earliest I can get my HardTop back?

We officially begin returning HardTops the week of August 30th.

What's the latest I can get my HardTop back?

We finish up our 2021 return season the week of Decemeber 6th.

Keep in mind, if you prefer your softtop, we can store these indefinitely.

How will the final payment work?

The final payment will be a prorated amount based on the return date, which we will process on the day of the return. If you haven’t met the minimum fee of $249, the remaining difference will be charge.

If you’re having us store your SoftTop, the monthly charge will just be adjusted to $19/month.

If for whatever reason we cannot return your HardTop during your preferred week, billing will stop to reflect your selection.

What if my address has changed?

Included in your booking link is a notes section. This is where you should enter all important information that could be useful to our team (address changes, scheduling restrictions, etc.)

Do I need to be on-site for return?

No – you do not need to be on-site.

Our process will be very similar to the Spring, so we just need the vehicle unlocked.

How long does the return process take?

The return process should only take around 25-30 minutes.

Do I need to have the Jeep prepared in any way?

If you kept your freedom panels and/or hardware, please make sure to have those ready for us to access.

Other than that, no need to prepare anything at all!

Do you store SoftTops for the Winter?

Yup – we can store your soft top for the winter! This service costs $19/month, and will allow us to come ready to go for 2022.

When can I book my 2022 appointment?

We will be reaching out after the return season (likely early Jan 2022), to begin scheduling for the Spring.

We plan to begin pickups starting in March 2022!

Spring Pickup FAQs

When do I book my HardTop return reservation?

Great question. Before we leave with your HardTop, we’ll book a return trip. We know forecasting this return months in advance can be tough, so this will serve as a tentative reservation, and can be easily changed.

Note: you will need to contact us with any changes no less than 48 hours before your desired reservation

Do you rent SoftTops?

We do, but we are currently sold out for the 2021 season. However, we are accepting reservations for the 2022 season.

When do I book my HardTop removal, SoftTop installation reservation?

You book HardTop removal/SoftTop installation at your convenience. Keep in mind, the schedule does fill up fast, so the earlier you book, the more options you’ll have.

Note: you need to book no less than 48 hours before your desired reservation

How long will it take to swap tops?

We recommend you block off ~60 minutes. In reality, it should only take our team ~40 minutes to swap tops.

Do I need to be on site?

Nope! We just need the car unlocked. We can send our payment form and communicate digitally on the day of your service.

What if my HardTop is damaged?

As part of our process, we take photos of your HardTop before removal. This just creates a layer of protection/transparency for both parties if damage claims do arise.

In the unlikely event your HardTop is damaged in the removal, storage or return process, HardTop Hotel will cover the cost of all damages.

Where is it stored?

We have several storage partners sprinkled across our service area. So, depending on where you live, it will be stored in the nearest facility.

What if I don't have a SoftTop?
What if it rains on my scheduled removal/return date?

Not a problem! We have a system that works very well in the rain to ensure everything stays nice and dry.

General FAQs

What is HardTop Hotel?

We provide a much needed service for Jeep® Wrangler owners. When the weather starts to warm up, we remove your HardTop, install your Soft Top, store your HardTop all summer long and return it at the end of the season (you select the date/time).

What safety precaustions are in place regarding COVID-19?

Our typical process is contactless. All our team members are required to:

  • Social distance
  • Wear masks on-site (pickup/return)
  • Wear gloves on-site (pickup/return)
  • Clean/sanitize HardTops before return

Payment and return booking will be handled via tablet by our team (contactless).

Do you come to my Jeep® Wrangler?

Yes – we come to you on both ends of the removal/replacement.

How far do you travel?
We really wanted to make a cool graphic, so officially, we travel anywhere within a 50 mile radius of Boston. Unofficially, if you’re 51 miles away, we’ll be there.
Do you rent SoftTops?

We do, but we are currently sold out for the 2021 season. However, we are accepting reservations for the 2022 season.

How much does this service cost?

We charge $89 per month, with a minimum fee of $249. Price is subject to increase as we get deeper into the Spring/Summer season.

At the moment, we don’t provide a drive-thru type of service. This has a lot to do with how our teams plan their removal/return routes. We hope to add this option down the road.

Do you have insurance?

Yes – we have insurance that covers damage and theft.
